Reading & Teleprompter

Free

Teleprompter & Smooth Scroll

Your script scrolls automatically at a steady pace so you can read naturally while looking at the camera.

What it is
A built-in teleprompter that displays your script over (or beside) the camera preview. Text moves upward at a speed you control โ€” like a TV studio prompter, but on your phone.
What it does
  • Play / pause scroll with one tap
  • Adjust scroll speed before or during recording
  • Drag the text manually when you need to skip ahead
  • Resize the text zone โ€” position and size are saved
  • Change font size and style for comfortable reading
Why it helps
You stop memorizing lines or glancing at notes off-camera. Your eyes stay near the lens, your delivery sounds confident, and you finish on time without rushing or freezing.
How to use it
  1. Open a script from the drawer
  2. Set scroll speed in Settings or with on-screen controls
  3. Tap play โ€” text scrolls while you record
  4. Pause anytime; drag to reposition if you jumped ahead
Free

Presenter Mode

A narrow script column on the side so the camera preview stays large and unobstructed.

What it is
A layout option that moves the script into a slim side panel instead of covering the center of the screen.
What it does
Keeps your face and framing fully visible while you still read from the script. Ideal when you want maximum camera real estate for talking-head videos.
Why it helps
You see yourself clearly โ€” check posture, gestures, and background โ€” without sacrificing script visibility. Great for creators who gesture a lot or use lower-third graphics.
How to use it
Enable Presenter Mode in teleprompter settings. The script column appears on the side; scroll controls work the same as in full overlay mode.
Free

Mirror Mode (4 modes)

Flip the script horizontally or vertically for physical teleprompter glass setups.

What it is
Text mirroring options for professional teleprompter rigs that use a 45ยฐ glass reflector in front of the lens.
What it does
Offers four mirror combinations (none, horizontal, vertical, both) so the reflected text reads correctly on glass prompters โ€” the same way broadcast studios work.
Why it helps
With a physical prompter, your eyes look directly through the lens while reading. Mirror mode makes VideoNarraCue compatible with that hardware without a separate app.
How to use it
Open teleprompter settings โ†’ Mirror โ†’ pick the mode that matches your glass rig. Test once before recording.
Free

Chapters & Paragraph Pause

Structure long scripts into sections and pause automatically between paragraphs.

What it is
Chapter markers divide your script into logical blocks. Paragraph pause stops scrolling briefly at each blank line.
What it does
Chapters let you jump to sections quickly. Paragraph pause gives you a natural breath between ideas โ€” the scroll waits until you tap play again.
Why it helps
Long tutorials, sales pitches, and course videos feel more natural. You are not racing the scroll through transitions โ€” you control the rhythm.
How to use it
Add chapter breaks in the Script Editor. Enable paragraph pause in teleprompter settings. Use blank lines between paragraphs for automatic pause points.
Proscript-coach pack

Confidence Monitor

Bullet-point reminders derived from your script โ€” requires Pro and the Script Coach pack.

What it is
A small on-screen panel showing key talking points extracted from your script โ€” like cue cards a producer would hold off-camera.
What it does
Displays highlights, hooks, or must-say phrases alongside the scrolling text. Works with Script Coach analysis when Pro is active.
Why it helps
You never miss the opening hook or call-to-action even if you paraphrase the body. Viewers see a natural delivery; you see the structure.
How to use it
Install the Script Coach pack (Pro), enable Confidence Monitor in Settings, then record. Bullets are extracted on-device from your script text.
Free

Bluetooth Remote Control

Start, stop, and control scroll with a headset or media remote โ€” hands stay free.

What it is
Support for standard Bluetooth media buttons (play/pause on earbuds, remotes, and some presentation clickers).
What it does
Play/pause toggles scroll and recording flow without touching the screen. Useful when the phone is on a tripod arm's length away.
Why it helps
No reaching for the screen mid-take. Fewer visible hand movements, cleaner footage, and easier solo recording sessions.
How to use it
Pair your Bluetooth headset or remote. During recording, press play/pause on the device โ€” the app responds like an in-app tap.

Camera & Recording

FreePro: 24/60 fps

Camera & 4K Recording

Record talking-head videos in up to 4K with pro controls โ€” free tier includes full resolution at 30 fps.

What it is
A CameraX-powered recorder built into the teleprompter โ€” one app for script + video, no switching between apps.
What it does
  • 720p, 1080p, or 4K resolution (Free)
  • 30 fps standard (Free) ยท 24 fps cinematic or 60 fps smooth (Pro)
  • Front and back camera
  • Tap to focus, AE/AF lock
  • Grid overlay and electronic stabilization
  • Format locked during recording to prevent accidental switches
Why it helps
Most teleprompter apps only scroll text โ€” you still need a camera app. VideoNarraCue combines both so framing, focus, and script stay in sync. 4K on Free is rare in this category.
How to use it
  1. Choose resolution and fps in camera settings before REC
  2. Frame yourself with the grid; tap to focus on your face
  3. Tap REC โ€” script scrolls while video records
  4. Clip saves to Movies/VideoNarraCue on device
Free

Aspect Formats (9:16 ยท 1:1 ยท 16:9)

Shoot once in the right shape for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn.

What it is
Built-in aspect ratio presets that crop the camera preview and export to platform-native dimensions.
What it does
9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Stories, 1:1 for feed posts, 16:9 for YouTube and presentations. Full-bleed preview on portrait phones for vertical video.
Why it helps
No cropping in an editor afterward. You compose the shot correctly from the start โ€” face position, headroom, and captions all fit the platform.
How to use it
Select format in camera settings before recording. The preview mask shows exactly what will be exported.

Scripts & Editor

Free

Script Editor

Write, format, and import scripts without leaving the app.

What it is
A full-screen editor for your teleprompter scripts with rich text formatting and multi-source import.
What it does
  • Bold, italic, and highlight for emphasis lines
  • Paste from clipboard
  • Import from URL, PDF, or DOCX
  • Chapter markers and paragraph structure
  • Auto-save as you type
Why it helps
Your script workflow stays in one place. Import a Google Doc export, polish hooks in the editor, and go straight to record โ€” no copy-paste gymnastics.
How to use it
Tap the script drawer โ†’ New or Edit. Use the toolbar for formatting. Share into VideoNarraCue from other apps or import a file from storage.
Free: 3 scriptsPro: unlimited

Script Library

Save and switch between scripts from a slide-out drawer.

What it is
A local library of saved scripts, each with its own title, last-edited date, and scroll settings memory.
What it does
Free plan stores up to 3 scripts. Pro removes the limit so agencies and prolific creators can keep every client script on device.
Why it helps
Weekly series, multiple products, or A/B hook variants โ€” swap scripts in seconds without re-importing. Everything stays on your phone (privacy-friendly).
How to use it
Open the drawer from the main screen. Tap a script to load it. Long-press to rename or delete. Upgrade to Pro when you need more than three slots.

Live Streaming

Pro

Live PiP Overlay

A floating, auto-scrolling script that stays on top of Instagram Live, TikTok, Zoom, or any other app.

What it is
Picture-in-Picture for your script โ€” not for video. A system-level overlay window shows your teleprompter text above whatever app is in the foreground.
What it does
  • Floats above Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Live, Zoom, Teams, etc.
  • Auto-scrolls at your set speed while you broadcast
  • Drag to reposition; resize the panel
  • Tap to play / pause without leaving the live app
  • Works with TikTok/Reels safe-zone guides (Pro)
Why it helps

Going live usually means either memorizing your script or juggling a second phone or tablet as a prompter. Live PiP puts the script on the same device you are streaming from.

  • One phone workflow โ€” no extra stand, no sync issues
  • Eye-line โ€” position the overlay near the front camera
  • Platform-native apps โ€” use the official Instagram/TikTok live tools with a prompter on top
  • Less gear โ€” ideal for travel, street interviews, and quick lives
How to use it
  1. Upgrade to Pro and open Live PiP in settings
  2. Grant "display over other apps" permission when prompted
  3. Load your script and start the PiP overlay
  4. Open your live app (e.g. Instagram โ†’ Live)
  5. Position the floating panel near the camera; tap play to scroll

Typical use cases: Instagram Live Q&A, TikTok LIVE selling, LinkedIn Live webinars, Zoom presentations, church streams, auction broadcasts.

Intelligence (Pro)

Pro

Voice-Follow Scroll

The script advances when you speak โ€” and waits when you pause.

What it is
On-device speech recognition linked to scroll position. Your voice drives the teleprompter instead of a fixed timer.
What it does
Matches spoken words to script text and moves the highlight forward. Includes Pace Assist (adjusts if you speed up or slow down) and Silence Auto-Pause (stops scroll when you stop talking).
Why it helps
Timed scroll can feel rushed or laggy when you ad-lib. Voice-follow adapts to your natural pace โ€” fewer retakes, more conversational delivery.
How to use it
Enable Voice-Follow in Pro settings. Grant microphone permission. Speak clearly; the script tracks your position. Combine with paragraph pause for section breaks.
Pro

Script Coach

On-device analysis of your script before you hit record โ€” no cloud AI, no upload.

What it is
A writing coach built into the editor. Rule-based linguistics run entirely on your phone โ€” scripts never leave the device.
What it does
  • Detects filler words (um, uh, like, you know)
  • Readability and pacing score
  • Suggests breathing pauses between dense paragraphs
  • Platform hook ideas for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts
  • Feeds bullet points to Confidence Monitor
Why it helps
Fix weak openings and wordy sections before recording. One less take, tighter messaging, and hooks that fit short-form platforms.
How to use it
Open Script Coach from the editor toolbar (Pro). Review suggestions, edit the script, then record with Confidence Monitor showing your key bullets.

Captions & Post-Production

Free: .srtPro: burn-in

Captions & Subtitles

Accessible captions from your script โ€” export as a sidecar file or burned into the video.

What it is
Automatic subtitle generation timed to your script text. Free exports a separate .srt file; Pro embeds text directly on the video pixels.
What it does
  • Free: .srt sidecar alongside MP4 โ€” upload to YouTube with captions
  • Pro: Burn-in (hardcoded) subtitles on the exported clip
  • Timing derived from scroll/recording session
Why it helps
80% of social video is watched muted. Captions boost watch time and accessibility. Sidecar .srt is editor-friendly; burn-in is ready-to-post for TikTok and Instagram.
How to use it
After recording, open Post-Production. Enable captions export. Choose .srt (Free) or burn-in (Pro). Share the final file to your platform.
Pro toolsFree export

Post-Production Studio

Trim, fade, brand, and polish exports without a desktop editor.

What it is
An export pipeline that processes your recorded clip before it lands in the gallery โ€” trim handles, fades, branding, and audio layers.
What it does
  • Pro: Trim start/end, fade in/out
  • Pro: Title hook and outro templates
  • Pro: Custom logo watermark (replaces default Free watermark)
  • Pro: Background music bed under voice
  • Free: Gallery export with subtle watermark + .srt
Why it helps
Remove dead air at the start, add a branded opener, and post a finished piece โ€” not a raw take. Saves a round-trip through CapCut or Premiere for simple talking-head content.
How to use it
Finish recording โ†’ Post-Production screen. Set trim points, enable fade, add logo/music (Pro). Export to gallery or share sheet.
FreePro: no watermark

Export & Social Share

Save to gallery and share directly to YouTube and social networks.

What it is
One-tap export to device storage plus Android share sheet integration for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
What it does
Writes MP4 to Movies/VideoNarraCue. Free exports include a small watermark; Pro exports are clean. Opens the native share intent so you pick the destination app.
Why it helps
Record โ†’ export โ†’ post in minutes. No cable, no cloud upload step unless you want one. The watermark on Free is subtle โ€” enough to try the app, removable with Pro.
How to use it
After post-production, tap Export. Find clips in your gallery folder. Tap Share to push to a platform or send to an editor app.

Global & Accessibility

Free

36 Languages & RTL

Full app interface in 36 languages, including right-to-left scripts.

What it is
Complete UI localization โ€” menus, settings, and system strings โ€” not just the script content (which you write in any language).
What it does
Follows your device language automatically. Supports RTL layouts for Arabic, Hebrew, and similar scripts so controls mirror correctly.
Why it helps
Creators worldwide get a native-feeling app. Teams in multiple countries can onboard without an English-only barrier.
How to use it
Set your phone system language. VideoNarraCue picks it up on next launch. Script text is independent โ€” write in any language you need.
